Two blog pages came to Madame Pickwick’s attention this past week when doing film and animated cartoon blogs. David Bordwell’s Website on Cinema is a complete cornucopia on virtually every aspect of the cinema. It embraces film art, film history, film theory, and the poetics of the cinema. There is also a cinema blog. Most of the site is co-credited from an equally knowledgeable Kristin Thompson.
Mike Barrier is the author ”The Animated Man-A Life of Walt Disney” and his website is ”Exploring the World of Animated Film & Comic Art”. Barrier is a very credible book reviewer, animated film critic and expert on everything pertaining to American animation past and present. He is a former business writer and the style is crisp and economic.
