A couple we didn’t get to for Black History Month. But we aren’t waiting another year. Shouldn’t every month be Black History Month? …

In this case, a 78 RPM album cover—when they actually were albums—of the great baritone (and great at most everything else: athlete, actor, activist), Paul Robeson. Also of note, the designer Alex Steinweiss is essentially the first true album cover designer. Steinweiss introduced a European Modern poster design aesthetic to the form which influenced the medium for decades. One of the true greats of American design.
