There are 23 albums in the Star Trek story record series (1975-79), but only the first eight have illustrated sleeves (by Silver Age comics master Neal Adams). Beginning with record five, a comic was included in the package (with art contributions by Russ Heath, Dick Giordano, and Adams). Adams, and Cary Bates, along with Alan Dean Foster, crafted the stories for the records—although continuity with the television series was not always observed with consistency. And no, the known Trek actors had no role in the voice narration, but although undocumented as of yet, the voice actors apparently did evoke the work of Shatner, Nimoy, Kelly, etc.
