Did you ever hear the joke about the Iman and the Grand Mufti? Not likely.Loose lips mean loose and lost limbs in some markets. Arthur Godfey’s talent scouts would have found Nirvana. Comic and predictable. Like a second rate comic hustling in the Catskills with inferior material, but thinking its A grade . What Iran says is absurd. The real comic relief comes across, spread across burnt toast in thick uneven globs after a major leaage hangover of migraine type magnitude. The real anti-semitism is more likely within than without. When the former head of Mossad, Meir Dagan, calls Israel’s religious jews are bigger problem to the state than Iran, well that amounts to pretty strong medicine, or the head of Meretz party calling Isreal settler supporters in Brooklyn ,”jew boys” …
Or when Yossi Sarid, basically a well-known journalist for Haaretz who masquerades as a secular establishment ass licker and leather lunged demagogue of the old Zionist trope, colonialist of religious jews being tolerated guests; saying that the religious group , Chabad, moving into the tony neighborhoods of Tel Aviv in a seducing effort of young flesh…”Ramat Aviv is Chabad’s hunting ground. One trap has been laid at the commercial center; second trap near the schools; it is easier to hunt souls when they are tender.”
( see link at end) …Britain has condemned as anti-semitic remarks made by Iran’s vice-president Mohammad-Reza Rahimi at a UN conference in Tehran….

—During the conference, Rahimi alleged that the Talmud teaches “how to destroy non-Jews so as to protect an embryo in the womb of a Jewish mother.”
He accused the “Zionists” of inciting drug trafficking claiming, “You cannot find a single addict among the Zionists.”
European Union Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton condemned the remarks, saying that “such statements are unacceptable and should not be tolerated,” and reiterating “the European Union’s absolute commitment to combating racism and anti-Semitism.”—INN. According to The New York Times, Mr Rahimi blamed Zionists, a term used by some for Jews supporting the state of Israel, for illegal drug trade, and said that Talmud, a Jewish religious book, taught followers that they were a superior race.
He said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran will pay for anybody who can research and find one single Zionist who is an addict.
“They do not exist.
“This is the proof of their involvement in drugs trade.”
He proceeded to blame the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia on Zionists, and said that they ordered gynaecologists to kill black babies.
Minister for Middle East Alastair Burt was one of numerous Western diplomats who expressed shock at Mr Rahimi’s speech….

—Some criticized the celebration for trivializing a tragedy, a reminder that in Israel the Holocaust is both omnipresent and ever-contentious.
Ze’ev Bar-Ilan of Beersheba, himself a survivor, wrote a letter to the newspaper Yediot Aharonot decrying the event as “an attempt to harness and exploit the harshest blood bath in human history for the purposes of entertainment.” Colette Avital, a former Knesset member who was elected on Thursday to head the umbrella group of 54 survivors’ organizations said in an interview, “If it was up to me, I wouldn’t even dream of it.”
Such dissent demonstrates the constant struggle over how the Holocaust is handled. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been lampooned for comparing the Iranian nuclear threat to 1939. This week, three ultra-Orthodox men were arrested for tagging Yad Vashem, the Holocaust museum, with graffiti saying, “Hitler, the Zionist movement thanks you.” And a great debate erupted six months ago when, during a performance of Yehoshua Sobol’s play “Ghetto,” some high school students cheered on the actor playing a Nazi officer beating a Jew.

st Is Over: We Must Rise From Its Ashes,” said in an interview that “what you see in Haifa is a struggle over the strategy of the memory.” —Read More:http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/29/world/middleeast/holocaust-survivors-pageant-taps-into-a-conflict-in-israel.html?hp image:http://www.network54.com/Forum/257194/thread/1328584742/last-1328588757/John+Baird+%28Canadian+FM%29+off+His+Meds+Yet+Again.
He said: “We condemn utterly the baseless comments from Iran’s Vice-President Rahimi about the Talmud and the Jewish faith, made at a United Nations drugs control event in Tehran this week.
“Racism and anti-semitism are unacceptable in any circumstance, let alone at an event sponsored by the United Nations.
“We call upon Iran to correct this scandalous statement, and to ensure that its officials respect the proper international norms and standards in the future.”…

— Israeli culture is no less toxic than fanatic Islam, and the country’s discriminatory attitude toward Mizrahi Jews and Arabs qualifies it for the title of “most racist state,” prominent Israeli author Sami Michael said on Monday.
“Israel can claim the title of most racist state in the developed world,” Michael, who heads the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, said at the opening of an international conference of the Association for Israel Studies at Haifa University.
“More than 60 years after the establishment of the Israeli state, the rift between European and Mizrahi Jewry has not mended. It is reflected in racism and social gaps,” the author said.
“To this day people from Arab states are underrepresented in the state’s central institutions, especially academic and cultural ones,” he said.
The racism is encouraged by cabinet members and MKs, and fueled by increasing religious extremism in the country, he said. —Read More:http://www.haaretz.com/news/national/author-israel-can-claim-the-title-of-the-most-racist-state-in-the-developed-world.premium-1.443908

Arab workers used to shutter a section of Jewish settlement Beit-El in which the settlers were transferred. Insult to injury?….
A Holocaust beauty pageant in Haifa. Is the memory used by the state? The record of Israel’s treatment of Holocaust survivors is hardly a compelling story of warmth and understanding, treated as they were as the incarnation of all that was evil in the diaspora, and the image of the feeble, sickly and inferior jew that the “new” Israeli jew, the post-Jew could discriminate against. Tom Segev’s The Seventh Million touched on this…Perhaps no one can oppress their own better than an oppressed people…
