friends of evolution

It’s genius. Or is it ingenious? Or is necessity the mother of invention? Laughable in the Israeli/Palestinian dispute to read rantings of the Jewish far left and anarchist/Marxist stripe and variety having common recourse, without any qualms whatsover, of citing the Jewish sages of the past, The Bal Shem-Tov and any other figure, the Torah to make their point that, pious and righteous as they are, even rabbinal thought, divine cosmic intervention, the hand of god himself is on their side. On the other side, they would probably burn a synagogue if they thought they could get away with it or hand over jewish prayer shawls to a car wash for waxing and buffing purposes .

For people who don’t beleive in god, gnostic or atheist they sure invoke him. But what of the torah huggers who posit the theory of Darwin. Now that is a paradox: the juxtaposition of the theory of evolution with Creationism. I guess politics makes strange bedfellows and perhaps Darwin had a Bar-Mitzva after all. Look if the deeply religious jews want to believe they descended from a monkey its their business and if they look hard enough, can probably find one word, one particular shape of a letter in one instance in the Torah that would just fit…

—Netanyahu insisted that the draft plan would lead to members of the minority being forcibly enrolled into the armed forces for the first time, the Telegraph reported. The Telegraph also noted that Netanyahu’s comments seemed to contradict the idea that he had previously pandered and protected the ultra-Orthodox community.
Meir Porush, an ultra-Orthodox community leader and former lawmaker, said drafting his people would unleash a “civil war,” according to the Associated Press.
“The Israeli military is not ready, won’t be ready and doesn’t want to be ready” to draft ultra-Orthodox Jews, Porush said. He added that the Israeli military neither needed nor wanted to be flooded with devoutly religious conscripts.

(see link at end)…A member of the military wing of Gaza’s ruling terrorist movement Hamas died when a bomb he was securing accidentally exploded, the Hamas Ezzedine al Qassam said on Friday.

The hapless shahid, who went by the name of Khalout Majid (until he went kaboom), died when a bomb went off while he was guarding the place where it was stored in northern Gaza City.

An Israeli military spokesman said he was unaware of the explosion….

—Just weeks after the arrest of alleged Jewish terrorist, Yaakov Teitel, a West Bank rabbi on Monday released a book giving Jews permission to kill Gentiles who threaten Israel.
Rabbi Yitzhak Shapiro, who heads the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva in the Yitzhar settlement, wrote in his book “The King’s Torah” that even babies and children can be killed if they pose a threat to the nation.
Shapiro based the majority of his teachings on passages quoted from the Bible, to which he adds his opinions and beliefs.
“It is permissable to kill the Righteous among Nations even if they are not responsible for the threatening situation,” he wrote, adding: “If we kill a Gentile who has sinned or has violated one of the seven commandments – because we care about the commandments – there is nothing wrong with the murder.”
Several prominent rabbis, including Rabbi Yithak Ginzburg and Rabbi Yaakov Yosef, have recommended the book to their students and followers. —Read More:http://www.haaretz.com/jewish-world/2.209/west-bank-rabbi-jews-can-kill-gentiles-who-threaten-israel-1.4496 image:http://benatlas.com/2009/07/life-in-israel-in-1948-part-2/

Earlier this month, another member of the Brigades was killed in an explosion of an incendiary device which he was driving in his car in Gaza City.

The Israeli army said he was not involved in the incident either.

The two joined several other Palestinian terrorists who have been the

ipients of the much coveted Darwin Award, which recognizes individuals who contribute to human evolution by self-selecting themselves out of the gene pool.

Back in 1999, in Jerusalem, the switch away from Daylight Saving Time raised havoc with Palestinian terrorists. The Palestinians refused to live on “Zionist Time,” with dire consequences:…

—Furthermore, while it may appear easy to find support for left-wing political positions in the Torah and rabbinical sources, the truth is that the Jewish tradition doesn’t give much guidance on the optimum level of marginal tax rates, Medicare restructuring, or food-stamp funding. To claim otherwise is to give false guidance.

At precisely 5:30 PM on Sunday, September 5, 1999, two coordinated car bombs exploded in different cities, killing three terrorists who were transporting the bombs. It was initially believed that the devices had been detonated prematurely by klutzy amateurs. A closer look revealed that the bombs had been prepared in a Palestine-controlled area, and set to detonate on Daylight Saving Time. But the confused drivers had already switched to Standard Time. When they picked up the bombs, they neglected to ask whose watch was used to set the timing mechanism. As a result, the cars were still en-route when the explosives detonated, removing the terrorists from humanity’s genetic considerations.

—A number of years ago, a group of Arabs, together with Israeli leftists and anarchists, planned on burning down the Hazon David Synagogue, just outside the gates of Kiryat Arba, on the eve of Rosh HaShana, the Jewish New Year. The event was stopped at the last minute when it came to the attention of Sheikh Jabari, leader of Hebron’s largest clan. He told Hebron Arabs that he didn’t agree to destruction of a ‘holy place,’ especially on a Jewish holiday. He told them that this was a place of prayer, and prevented the destruction.—Read More:http://unitedwithisrael.org/shabbat-hebron/

The 2012 Darwin Awards have already been decided (the winner was an attentive zoo employee who tried to assist a constipated elephant, but third place went to a couple who threw a lit stick of dynamite out of their car only to discover the window was closed) –…Read More:http://www.jewishpress.com/news/yoris-daily-news-clips/two-hamas-terrorists-earn-darwin-awards-in-august-while-caring-for-explosives/2012/08/17/

ADDENDUM:

(see link at end)…The late Uri Dan, the brave journalist and confidant of former prime minister Ariel Sharon, once called Amos Oz a “Bolshevik”. It seems as though Oz symbolizes much more than that.

Oz is the embodiment of a secular, leftist, establishment intellectual. He is the darling of those who have taken over the designation “peace camp”, and embraced a form of Jewish anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Speaking in 1989 to the peace-movement multitudes in Tel Aviv’s Malchei Yisrael (now Rabin) Square, Oz described the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria in language Josef Stalin would have envied. “A small sect, a messianic sect, obtuse and cruel, emerged a few years ago from a dark corner of Judaism, and it is threatening to destroy all that is dear and sacred to us, to impose on us a wild and insane blood ritual … They are guilty of crimes against humanity, their Jewishness is of the Hizbullah kind, their Zionism is like Abu Nidal’s”….

…When in 2002 Ariel Sharon sent forces into Judea and Samaria to defeat the terrorists, Oz went to help the Palestinians with their olive harvest.

Last year he contacted Marwan Barghouti, the Palestinian terrorist leader convicted of murdering five Israelis and planning several terrorist attacks. The Israel Prize recipient sent the Palestinian prisoner one of his books with a personal inscription wishing him a speedy release from prison: “This story is our story. I hope you read it and understand us better, as we attempt to understand you. Hoping to meet soon in peace and freedom”…Read More:http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/12069#.UDB-evVb76M
