…It’s back. Valiantly as other brands have tried to displace Krylon in the art spray market, they just can’t seem to sell enough cans in sufficient quantity. Winsor & Newton has some quality varnishes, and like wise Grumbacher products perform well as well, but the name Krylon is so well established that its hard to displace.
They also have monopoly pricing and enjoy the advantages of reaping the rewards on their economies of scale, despite the glitches of faulty spray buttons, defective product and plastic caps that are sometimes difficult to open. In addition, some of the products really do smell to the high heavens. It’s what they call a marketing phenomenon. Krylon is back in stock, and there will be a consumer “Le Big Bang” special in the near future….
